Magaldrate and Simethicone

Simethicone allows easier passage of gas bubbles in the stomach and. Excess gas in the stomach and intestines produces painful pressure and simethicone is used to relieve it. Simethicone can be used for all age people. Magaldrate is antacid used to neutralize the excess of acid present in stomach as it can cause heart burn or ulcers.

Indications

The Magaldrate and Simethicone suspension is indicated for: Relief of acid indigestion, Relief of heartburn, and Relief of gastric discomfort caused by excess gas, such as bloating, belching, and feelings of pressure.

Pharmacology

Magaldrate is an antacid used to neutralize the excess of acid produced. Simethicone is an anti-gas (anti-flatulence) medication. It change the surface tension of gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines to enabling their breakdown. In this way it is believed that gas can be eliminated more easily by belching or passing flatus.

Contraindications

Ofloxacin tablets is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity associated with the use of ofloxacin or any member of the quinolone group of antimicrobial agents.

Side Effects

While generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience side effects, including: Nausea, Diarrhea or constipation (less common with magaldrate than with other antacids),and Stomach cramps.
