Fluticasone Nasal Spray

Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.
  • Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
  • Treatment and management of asthma by prophylaxis

Mechansium Of Action:

Fluticasone stimulates glucocorticoid receptors in humans that produce a potent anti-inflammatory response. Fluticasone also works on multiple cells and mediators that are responsible for the inflammatory symptoms of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, etc).

Local common side effects of fluticasone propionate:

  • Burning
  • Irritation
  • Itching
  • Redness

Nasal spray should not be used in the following conditions:

  • Tuberculosis
  • Glaucoma
  • Nosebleed
  • Ulcers of the nasal septum
