Ofloxacin & Tinidazole Suspension

Ofloxacin is a antibacterial drug belonging to fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics. It is Synthetic chemotherapeutic antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class considered to be a second-generation fluoroquinolone. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. Ofloxacin is also used for the treatment of typhoid fever, community acquired pneumonia, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
Tinidazole is an anti-parasitic drug used against protozoan infections. It is widely known throughout Europe and the developing world as treatment for a variety of amoebic and parasitic infections like (giardiasis, amebiasis). Tinidazole is a 5-nitroimidazole with activity against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
For treatment of patients ofloxacin suspension is used to prevent and cure chook chronic respiratory disease.
Ofloxacin is an anti-biotic which is used to treat any infection or infestation of Bacteria which is the main cause of stomach disturbances.
It has obvious effect on colibacillus, dysentery, enteritis.
Eliminate the symptoms of respiratory and gastrointestinal tract.
Tinidazole suspension is used to treat certain types of vaginal infections (bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis) and also useful for loose motions.
It is also used to treat certain types of parasite infections (giardiasis, amebiasis) It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and protozoa.

Concomitant use with alcohol should be avoided.

This suspension is a combination of Ofloxacin and Tinidazole has unique dual mode of action i.e., in the combination, ofloxacin help to stop bacteria multiplication by inhibiting the reproduction and repair of genetic material material and tinidazole is an antiinfective. It is used to treat amebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and vaginosis.
Tinidazole and Ofloxacin is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to ofloxacin, to other quinolones, or to any of the components in this medication and in patients hypersensitive to ornidazole and tinidazole and other imidazoles. There is no evidence of accumulation when used in pregnant women. Therefore dosage regimen requires no adjustment during pregnancy.
The most frequently encountered side effect is dizziness, alone or in combination with other adverse reactions.
The other side effects occuring to a lesser extent are nausea, intestinal spasms and metallic taste.skin rash and headache have also been reported.
