Luliconazole Cream

Luliconazole Cream is an antifungal agent. It works by killing sensitive fungi by interfering with the formation of the fungal cell membrane and weakening it. Luliconazole is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm. Luliconazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of the fungus.

Indications

  • Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot; fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes)
  • Tinea cruris (jock itch; fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks)
  • Tinea corporis (ringworm; fungal infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of the body)

Pharmacology

Luliconazole work by acting on the nerve cell membrane to interferes with the sodium channel current that regulates the polarization of the membrane so therefore delayed repolarisation and causes the paralysis of the lice and mites.

Side Effects

Itching skin, Burning sensation, Dry skin, and Rashes.

Precautions & Warnings
